Why license TED content?

As a nonprofit, TED shares content under a Creative Commons license that allows for personal viewing but not commercial use — which means content must be licensed for business purposes. 

Our distributable TED content goes through a careful review process, including vetting and fact checking, making it appropriate for workplace use. Note: not all TED content is distributable.

Licensing ensures responsible content distribution across your organization, while supporting the ideas and speakers behind the talks.
